We are pleased to announce that the Chinese version of the BirchStreet application suite is now available. All BirchStreet applications have been translated into Simplified Chinese. The translation was done to support a number of customer implementations underway in mainland China and other Chinese speaking regions.
The BirchStreet application suite is fully translatable into any language. New language translations can typically be completed in six weeks.

BirchStreet Internationalization Architecture
Multi-language support is part of the BirchStreet internationalization architecture. Additionally, the system supports over 160 different world currencies, each with tailored formatting, precision and rounding rules.
Multi-currency transactions are also supported. This is used when the transaction currency is different from the home currency. Exchange rates are used to compute the home currency values.
Additionally, a number of international tax regimes are supported including various forms of VAT, multiple tax rate regimes (where different items or classes of items are taxed at different rates). Multiple taxing authorities and multiple tax GL codes are also supported. The system also supports taxing scenarios where multiple tax rates apply to the same item, as well as tax-on-tax scenarios.
