BirchStreet Best in Supplier Integration

Gartner scores BirchStreet a top performer amongst the world’s leading e-Procurement solutions in its recently published 2011 Gartner e-Procurement Market and Vendor Landscape report.  The report specifically pointed to BirchStreet’s depth and breadth of integrations and also noted BirchStreet’s ”industry knowledge”, “solution flexibility” and “inventory support” as strengths.

Gartner’s research included numerous phone interviews with BirchStreet customers and a comprehensive customer survey.

BirchSteet’s e-Procurement system is currently connected to some 160,000 suppliers.  The network of suppliers an e-Procurement vendor has in place and the demonstrated ability to onboard new suppliers (your suppliers) is an important capability to consider when selecting an e-Procurement solution for your organization.  Gartner obviously agrees as its report specifically scores this area. The report graded each e-Procurement solution providers’ ability to exchange data with suppliers through various methods, including EDI, XML, supplier portals and autofax.  Their scorecard also considered how scalable a solution is from the supplier’s perspective.  BirchStreet ranked in the top echelon in this area along with four other vendors.

This is the second year BirchStreet has been included in the Gartner report, which is reserved for vendors with “significant market presence.”  Worldwide, Gartner found a total of 32 vendors that qualified.  BirchStreet was the only vendor included in the report with a hospitality focus.
